20,000-ton-per-year nano-calcium carbonate project for ink production breaks ground

Nanometer-scale calcium specifically designed for inks is widely used in industries such as rubber, plastics, papermaking, ink formulations, coatings, and sealants. In the ink industry, nano calcium carbonate plays a crucial role—inks formulated with nano calcium carbonate exhibit exceptional smoothness, stability, excellent printability, and strong opacity. Hangzhou Zhenghe Nanotechnology Co., Ltd. completed the design and land preparation for its 20,000-ton-per-year production line dedicated to manufacturing nanometer-scale calcium carbonate for ink applications in November 2023, and groundbreaking officially took place on March 14, 2024.
The project has acquired production equipment such as a multifunctional powder dryer, elevators, mixers, dust collectors, and automatic packaging machines, as well as utility equipment like Roots blowers. Once completed, the project will establish an annual production capacity of 20,000 tons of nano-calcium carbonate specifically designed for ink applications. It is expected to generate sales revenue of 60 million yuan and contribute to total profits and taxes of approximately 15 million yuan.
